Creating is gratifying for me. I enjoy the process of manipulating raw clay to a state where it communicates and identifies a small portion of my psyche. Pieces that are simple in form, but decorated in a range of techniques excite me. I’m drawn to the work of Adam Field, Elaine Coleman, Lorna Meaden, and Julia Galloway. In addition, simple things I see in everyday life like the silhouette of a table leg, repeating motifs in fabric, and sculptural molding inspires me. Through different methods of surface manipulation and decorative line, I articulate the symbols of my everyday life. By acknowledging these symbols I feel as though I breath life within my exploration of the craft.

Final
My final is not completed. It still has two or three more firings to go through before it's finished. But since it was the end of the semester when we were assigned our final I wasn't able to finish it.
