SUU Senior Portfolio: Jenessa Peterson

I create design to represent many art forms that influence me to live a better life. A better life to me means living in a world where everything is designed to its highest caliber and quality; that nothing would be overlooked. Photography, fashion illustration, and ancient architecture have timeless and enduring qualities that motivate me as a designer to make the world a more beautiful place to live. Art has the power to change us and I am passionate about creating designs that will inspire others to dream. Being a designer gives me the opportunity to make the most out of myself. It awakens my senses to magnifying beauty in a world that shifts more towards industrialization than the careful craftsmanship of a single artist. I agree with the words of William Morris, who stated, “I determined to do no less than to transform the world with beauty. If I have succeeded in some small way, if only in one small corner of the world, amongst the men and women I love, then I shall count myself blessed…”
