Allie Coutts

Artist Statement:

I am passionate. I work toward meticulous and dramatic solutions in my design and aim to stay current and contemporary in my approach to life. I design as a problem solver and am obsessed with typography. I strive to approach my work in a clean and clever way. My work is honest and organized and I love to bring ideas to life, whether that be digitally, in print, or in a physical form. My thoughts are a stew of concepts, but bringing clarity is what I enjoy about solving a problem. Through an analytical process, being patient in revisions, and sometimes learning through my own work I strive to be inspired and to finish and to finish strong.

Riley Funk

Artist Statement

I love when a design communicates powerful emotion by thinking in new ways and through creative innovation, my design process is much like a rollercoaster. I love that! The work often starts with the slow climb through ideation and research. Then comes the exhilarating thrill of diving into the design process. Strategizing with color and creating expressive design through dynamic compositional strategies pull the weight of a project through the ups and downs of revision. When the design is complete that is when the thrill of my work really sets in with a deep sense of satisfaction.

New Project:

Linzi Kelsey

Next semester I will be buying a new camera, and I plan on reprinting and photographing all of my projects for my online and print portfolios. Because of that, I don't have a lot of content on my website, and I haven't actually printed a print portfolio. But I have designed a layout for my print portfolio and worked on other aspects of my website and my personal brand.

I will be taking professional photos before graduation, and once I have  them done one will go where the black circle is.

This is a mockup of what the layout of my print portfolio will look like. I can't afford to print one yet, but I plan on having it finished and ready to go by the Adobe Portfolio Review next semester. I am also going to be buying a new camera next semester and will be taking new product shots of all of my projects.
